8 Guernseys were present at the Edenbridge Show from four exhibitors two of whom were competing for the first time and in addition 3 other calves had competed in the Calf classes on the Sunday.
5 Maiden heifers competing with 2 Gloucesters made a very strong opening class for Judge Terry Whitehead and he found his winner in the tall upstanding Hinxden Violet 6th by Boskenna Junes Oak with Hinxden Camelia in third place.
Page and Newham had the winning Dry Cow she being Easby Countess 8 purchased at the Nuthurst sale and they had also being showing a Coopers Court calf the day before.
The Manford’s produced Hinxden Violet 3 in fine form and she repeated her Kecompanynt County Show win and is the first Holiday daughter to have gone VG. They are thinking of competing at the Dairy Show and she would do well in that company.
