One of the most welcome developments recently has been the decision of Helen and Daffyd Cox from Laugharne in West Wales to purchase a Guernsey to add to their very successful Glanmor Jersey herd. At this weeks Welsh Dairy Show in what were very competitive Jersey classes they achieved a clean sweep of the Championship placings.
The Guernsey they have purchased is Tredinney Yogis Gabrielle 5 and she is a full sister to the Warren’s Yogis Gabrielle 2 the outstanding Champion at the Dairy Show earlier this month.
Gabrielle 5 was second to the Champion at the All Britain Calf Show recently and placed in fourth place in the Welsh Dairy Show calf section judged the night before the show.
Jessica Hall from Cheshire who is working in Wales was on the halter and was placed second in the Showmanship in what is very strong competition.
