not meaning to burst the bubble of excitement over the lifetime production but the info is meaningless without comparison. Is this a 10%/20% improvement on say 1997 it is noticable that nearly all are by minus bulls and non were born after 1995 (bar Bos.June) so well in advance of GMI or the doom merchants rants on fertility. The true test will only come in time with the likes of Boskenna June and hopefully others but my view is forget fertility there are still hugh improvements in udder conformation to be made before worrying about calving index. If they haven’t got the udder to last you wont get many reaching 5000 kg f&p.Management has far bigger impact on fert than any of us like to admit. coxy
