I have never experienced such a unpleasant day on a ringside anywhere in over 40 years of being on either side of the ropes with gale force winds and driving rain.

Six exhibitors are to be praised for bringing out their cows in such conditions and with the TB enforced absence of the Warren family provided an opportunity for the others.

Melville and Nicci Jelbert brought out Lower Keigwin Starsky 22 to win the Championship on their first visit to the show

Hamps Valley Annabelle 7 maintained her winning ways for the ARC-Addington Fund and Brian and Sheila Adams also had a first prise with Wiltown Claudia in the Heifer Calf class which with 8 forward was the best class of the day.

The other bit of news that I gleaned on the day is that after a recent classification visit Trewey Juno 38 is poised to be the fourth cow in the breed to be Ex 95 and her twin Sonny Boy daughter are now both Ex and the herd now averages 84 points with 25 Excellent cows in the herd.
