Whilst working with the top 1000 cow list, I noticed several cows that had more than 8 calves but were still ranked in the top 10% of the UK Guernsey herd. These cows are the real money makers in the breed.

I have ranked these cows on Lifetime yield, most will have calved again as I have used the last completed record and have used the 305 day totals for milk yield but what strikes me is how regulartly they have calved. Only two sires (Rex and Milton) were not selected for use as young sires in the EGCS bull schemes.
Carmen and Campanula have had sons used in GGBP, whilst Lynne has yet to produce one, but perhaps the family we have missed out on are the Kenvin Snowbelle’s as the cow listed here has a EX90 CME daughter.
